Metallized Ceramic Components
Double-End Metallized Alumina Ceramic Tube
Custom double-end metallized alumina ceramic tubes with Mo/Mn metallization for ceramic-to-metal brazing, electrical insulation, vacuum and high-voltage applications.
Overview
TecCera supplies precision double-end metallized alumina ceramic tubes for ceramic-to-metal brazing, electrical insulation, vacuum equipment, and high-voltage applications.
The ceramic tube is manufactured from 95% or 99% alumina, with metallization applied to both end surfaces to provide suitable interfaces for subsequent metal plating, brazing, bonding, or sealing.
Mo/Mn metallization is commonly used as the base metallization layer, followed by optional nickel, copper, gold, or silver plating according to the joining process and application requirements.
Tube length, inner diameter, outer diameter, wall thickness, metallized area, plating material, and dimensional tolerances can be customized according to customer drawings.

FAQ
Q1: Why are both ends of the ceramic tube metallized?
The metallized end surfaces provide suitable interfaces for subsequent plating, brazing, or ceramic-to-metal joining while the central ceramic body maintains electrical insulation.
Q2: What metallization system is commonly used?
Mo/Mn metallization is commonly used on alumina ceramics, followed by nickel or other plating depending on the brazing and application requirements.
Q3: Can the tube dimensions be customized?
Yes. Outer diameter, inner diameter, length, wall thickness, metallized width, and dimensional tolerances can be customized according to drawings.
Q4: Can you supply long metallized ceramic tubes?
Yes. Tube length can be customized within manufacturing capability, depending on diameter, wall thickness, tolerance, and metallization requirements.
Q5: Can the metallized ends be brazed directly to metal parts?
They can be designed for ceramic-to-metal brazing after suitable metallization and plating. The actual brazing alloy and mating metal should be selected according to the assembly design and operating conditions.
