Metallized Ceramic Components
Metallized Alumina Ceramic Circular Plate
Custom metallized alumina ceramic circular plate with Mo-Mn metallization and optional Ni, Cu or Au plating for vacuum and hermetic sealing applications.
Product Description
TecCera supplies precision metallized alumina ceramic circular plates for vacuum, high-voltage and hermetic sealing applications.
These ceramic plates are typically manufactured from 95%–99% alumina and metallized with a controlled molybdenum-manganese (Mo-Mn) layer. Optional nickel, copper or gold plating can be applied according to brazing, soldering and assembly requirements.
The combination of high electrical insulation, mechanical strength and brazable metallized surfaces makes these components suitable for ceramic-to-metal assemblies used in vacuum electronics, feedthrough systems, power devices and hermetic packages.

FAQ
What is the purpose of metallizing an alumina ceramic plate?
Metallization creates a brazable or solderable surface on the ceramic, allowing it to be joined with compatible metal components in hermetic and vacuum assemblies.
Why is Mo-Mn commonly used for alumina metallization?
Mo-Mn metallization can form a strong bond with alumina after high-temperature firing and is widely used as a base layer for subsequent metal plating and brazing.
Can the metallized pattern be customized?
Yes. Metallization areas, hole layouts, dimensions and plating requirements can be customized according to customer drawings.
What plating options are available?
Typical options include nickel, copper and gold plating, depending on the brazing method and operating environment.
