Product Overview
TecCera supplies custom metallized ceramic cylinders for ceramic-to-metal brazing, electrical insulation, and hermetic sealing applications. Manufactured from 95% or 99% alumina, these cylindrical components combine high dielectric strength, mechanical stability, thermal resistance, and vacuum compatibility.
Selective metallization can be specified on the inner diameter, outer diameter, end faces, shoulders, or other designated areas. Molybdenum-manganese (Mo-Mn) is commonly used as the base metallization layer, followed by optional nickel, silver, copper, or gold plating to improve wettability, conductivity, oxidation resistance, and brazing performance.
Compared with glass-to-metal seals, properly engineered ceramic-to-metal assemblies can provide greater resistance to thermal shock, mechanical stress, corrosion, high voltage, and demanding vacuum environments.
