Metallized Ceramic Components
Metallized Corrugated Ceramic Tube
Precision Metallized Corrugated Ceramic Tube with Mo/Mn metallization and optional Ni, Ag, Cu, or Au plating for high-voltage insulation, hermetic sealing, vacuum systems, and ceramic-to-metal brazing.
Description
TecCera supplies precision Metallized Corrugated Ceramic Tube made from high-purity alumina ceramics for electrical insulation, ceramic-to-metal brazing, hermetic sealing, vacuum equipment, and high-voltage applications.
The corrugated structure increases creepage distance and helps improve electrical insulation performance while maintaining excellent mechanical strength, thermal stability, and dimensional reliability.
The ceramic surface can be metallized using a Molybdenum-Manganese (Mo/Mn) system, followed by optional nickel, silver, copper, or gold plating according to brazing, soldering, and electrical requirements.

Why Use Corrugated Ceramic Tubes?
Compared with a smooth ceramic tube, the corrugated or ribbed surface increases the electrical creepage path along the ceramic surface.
This makes corrugated ceramic tubes particularly suitable for applications requiring:
- High-voltage electrical insulation
- Increased creepage distance
- Compact insulation design
- Ceramic-to-metal brazing
- Hermetic sealing
- Vacuum compatibility
- High-temperature resistance
- Long-term dimensional stability
Metallization and Plating Options
- Alumina ceramic + Mo/Mn metallization + Ni plating
- Alumina ceramic + Mo/Mn metallization + Ag plating
- Alumina ceramic + Mo/Mn metallization + Au plating
- Alumina ceramic + Mo/Mn metallization + Cu plating
- Alumina ceramic + Ag metallization
- Custom selective metallization patterns
Typical metallization configurations include:
Nickel plating is commonly used to improve brazing and soldering performance, while silver, copper, and gold may be selected according to conductivity, oxidation resistance, joining process, and operating environment.
Typical Applications
Metallized corrugated ceramic tubes can be used in:
- High-voltage feedthroughs
- Vacuum interrupters
- Electrical feedthrough insulators
- High-voltage connectors
- Ceramic-to-metal sealed assemblies
- X-ray equipment
- Traveling-wave tubes
- Power grid tubes
- Vacuum electronic devices
- RF and microwave equipment
- High-voltage switching equipment
- Sensors and electrical isolation assemblies
